Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator)

0:38 ·

Powdery mildew, caused by Erysiphe necator, threatens grape quality worldwide. It appears as a white-grey powdery coating on leaves, shoots, and berries, causing cracking and uneven ripening. It spreads even in dry weather once humidity rises, especially in shaded, dense canopies. Manage it with sulfur or systemic fungicide programs from bud-break, and thin leaves to let in more sunlight.
